Espalier
This form suits apples and pears, it is a form best against a wall or fence panel but could also be used to create a boundary. It has pairs of horizontal branches opposite each other, providing symmetry. They are not used enough in garden design, despite being a great focal point and specimen tree. The horizontal branches also provide high yields of fruit. Often found with a couple of tiers, but if grown on a vigorous rootstock more tiers can be added.
Available – see fruit varieties for details, please ask as stock levels change quickly.
